Painting Courses in Rural France
COURSE:
Mij Mahoney, the well-known animal and landscape painter, will be conducting weeklong tutorials at Le Manoir de Tachau in the Lot and Garonne.

PROFICIENCY:
The classes are aimed at both beginners and medium ability artists, who would like to brush up on their techniques.
COURSE STRUCTURE:
Morning sessions: 0915-1215 hrs (collective tuition).
Afternoon sessions: 1400-1800 hrs (painting on the estate or at attractive locations or individual tuition).
ACCOMODATION:
Self-catering accommodation can be provided in luxurious limestone gites on the ancient Tachau manorial estate or in bedrooms in the manor house. The weekly cost for each gite is shown on our pricelist but those willing to share with another nice artistic family can benefit from a reduced price gite. Each gite is designed and equipped for either 5 or 6 people. Additional days prior to the course are also available at a prorata cost.
On the first floor of the Le Manoir is a pleasant double bedroom overlooking the courtyard (£246 per week) and a single room looking out over the monument field and vineyards (£190 per week).
NON-PARTICIPATING PARTNERS:
An alternative programme is provided for non-painters, involving the beautiful estate facilities including fishing and swimming, with local tennis or golf. Extra guests joining the course dinner (£18) and the final drinks party (£2) will be most welcome indeed.
COURSE FEES:
The £320 fee covers all course materials together with the cost of the first day’s coarse dinner at a local restaurant and the Friday drinks party in the Great Hall to celebrate the week’s achievements.
